Daffodil Place has become a home away from home when it matters most for many people living
with cancer who have to travel to St. John’s to receive cancer care. Since opening in July 2009,
Daffodil Place has welcomed thousands of guests from more than 140 communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The Canadian Cancer Society is proud to be able to offer this valuable service to people living with cancer and their families. While staying at Daffodil Place guests have the amenities of home and access to cancer information, support services and evening entertainment provided by many community volunteers. Throughout our first year of operations we have been growing and changing to provide those who stay at
Daffodil Place with that feeling of having a home away from home.
Daffodil Place is a reality because of the generosity of the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
